Terms of service

The service

Stakkd is a job management platform for trade and service businesses: clients, calls, jobs, quotes, invoices, contracts, compliance certificates and related modules, delivered as a subscription with web and mobile apps. The modules available to you depend on your plan.

Your account

• You must give accurate information when signing up and keep your sign-in credentials confidential.

• You are responsible for activity under your seats. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

• Multi-factor authentication is available to every user and can be made mandatory for your business.

Pricing and billing

• Stakkd is billed per seat, in pounds sterling, on a monthly billing period. Annual billing is not currently offered. All prices exclude VAT. Where VAT applies, it is added at the prevailing UK rate.

• Some plans carry seat limits, shown on the pricing page: the Core plan covers up to 5 users, and the Pro and Elite plans are billed for a minimum of 3 seats. Enterprise pricing, seats and terms are agreed with you in writing.

• There are no setup fees. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (the period you have already paid for), and you keep access until then.

• Seat additions and plan upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated for the remainder of the current billing period; seat reductions and plan downgrades take effect from your next billing period.

• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next billing period after the notice.

• From time to time we may offer a discount, such as a launch offer for new subscribers. Its terms (the percentage, how many months it lasts and the last day to sign up) are shown before you subscribe, and it is applied automatically. A business can have a launch offer once; cancelling and subscribing again does not restart it. We may also add a discount to your subscription, for example as a goodwill gesture. Your current discounts and their end dates are shown in your account. When a discount ends, the full price applies from your next invoice, and we email you about 14 days before a time-limited discount ends.

• You pay by card through Stripe; Pay by Bank is not available for subscriptions. If a payment fails, we email you and your account stays fully usable for a 7-day grace period, and your account page shows the date it ends. We email you a reminder during the grace period and again when it ends. If payment is still outstanding then, your account becomes read-only until a payment succeeds: you can see your data but not change it, and nothing is deleted.

Acceptable use

• Don’t use the service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or send spam.

• Don’t attempt to probe, overload or disrupt the service, or access another customer’s data.

• Don’t resell or white-label the service except under a written agreement with us that expressly allows it.

Availability and support

We aim to keep Stakkd available around the clock and schedule maintenance outside normal UK working hours where practical. Support is provided from the UK, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (excluding bank holidays).

Your data

• Your business data remains yours. You grant us only the licence needed to host and process it to provide the service.

• We process personal data as described in the privacy policy. Each customer environment is isolated and hosted in the UK.

• On termination you can export your data in standard formats (CSV and PDF). Export remains available for 30 days after your subscription ends, after which your environment and its data are deleted.

Third-party integrations

• You can connect Stakkd to services from other providers, such as QuickBooks Online and Xero. Your use of those services is governed by the provider’s own terms, and you need your own account with them.

• You remain responsible for your accounting records, including checking what Stakkd sends to and reads from your accounting software.

• We are not liable for outages, changes or errors in a provider’s service. While a provider is unavailable, syncing with it may be delayed or stop.

• You can disconnect an integration at any time. Disconnecting stops the sync; it does not delete records already in either system.

Intellectual property

The platform, its software and branding belong to us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the right to use the service while subscribed.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death, personal injury or fraud). Otherwise, our total liability is capped at the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Termination

• You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us; access continues to the end of the paid period.

• We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
