QuickBooks Online integration
Stakkd is job management software for UK trade and service businesses. Connect it to QuickBooks Online and your invoices and payments stay in step, without typing anything twice.
What it does
Connects one QuickBooks Online company (UK, in pounds sterling) to your Stakkd account.
Sends your customers, invoices, credit notes and payments from Stakkd to QuickBooks.
Brings payments you record in QuickBooks back into Stakkd and marks the matching invoice paid.
When you connect, you review any customers that look like duplicates. Stakkd never guesses a match.
Asks Intuit for accounting access only (the com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting scope). Your QuickBooks tokens are stored encrypted.
CIS is not available through the QuickBooks API, so Stakkd handles CIS with a setting on your Stakkd account.
What you need
A QuickBooks Online company set up for the UK.
A Stakkd account. The accounting integration is included on every plan.
To be a Stakkd admin with permission to change system settings.
How to connect
Sign in to Stakkd and open Settings > Integrations > Accounting. The box below takes you straight there.
Choose QuickBooks Online as the accounting platform and select Connect.
Sign in to QuickBooks, pick your company and allow access.
Back in Stakkd, check any customers listed under Match existing customers, so nothing is created twice.
Using it day to day
Work in Stakkd as normal. When you send an invoice or credit note, Stakkd sends it to QuickBooks, with its customer if they are not there yet. Drafts stay in Stakkd.
If you change an invoice you have already sent, the change goes to QuickBooks too. A cancelled or deleted invoice is voided in QuickBooks.
Payments you record in Stakkd are sent to QuickBooks. Payments you record in QuickBooks come back and are recorded against the matching Stakkd invoice.
Settings > Integrations > Accounting in Stakkd shows the connection status and anything that needs your attention, such as a record QuickBooks would not accept.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect at any time from Settings > Integrations > Accounting in Stakkd. This also removes Stakkd’s access at Intuit.
Nothing already in QuickBooks or Stakkd is deleted. Stakkd keeps the links between records, so a reconnect picks up where it left off.
If you disconnect from inside QuickBooks instead, Stakkd stops syncing and shows your Stakkd admins a Reconnect prompt.
